Our Story…

Bold stories. Unforgettable voices. No ordinary endings.

JAGS Publishing is an independent publishing house founded by two lifelong storytellers, Robin Lange and Michele Remsen, who believe the best stories challenge expectations, stir emotions, and stay with us long after the final page.

With backgrounds spanning fiction, film, theater, marketing, and creative production, Robin and Michele bring a unique combination of imagination, experience, and entrepreneurial spirit to the world of independent publishing. Their shared vision is simple: to champion original storytelling, compelling characters, and narratives that aren’t afraid to venture beyond the conventional.

Robin Lange is a novelist, marketing professional, and lifelong wanderer with a particular fondness for dark woods, complicated heroines, and the thin line between reality and the extraordinary. Her fiction explores the darker corners of human nature through atmospheric horror, psychological suspense, and speculative thrillers. Her work includes Nine Lives and Everyone But Me, two very different stories united by high stakes, unsettling mysteries, and fiercely independent female protagonists.

Michele Remsen is a New York-based writer, director, producer, playwright, and novelist whose career spans film, television, and theater. She founded Stevedore Productions in 1997, creating a home for original, inventive, and often subversive storytelling. Her work includes the award-winning short film JUKE and the feature film TOSS IT, along with a wide-ranging portfolio of screenplays, stage plays, and fiction. Her stories often explore human contradictions, unconventional women, and life’s unexpected turns, frequently with a healthy dose of humor.

Together, Robin and Michele created JAGS Publishing as a home for stories with something to say—and the courage to say it differently.

Independent by design. Imaginative by nature.
